Ruby Falls Kicks Off 95th Anniversary on Discover Day
(Dec. 27, 2023) – Celebrated annually, Discovery Day at Ruby Falls commemorates Leo Lambert’s December 30, 1928 discovery of the thundering waterfall hidden in an unknown underground cave, which he named in honor of his wife, Ruby. This year’s milestone Discovery Day on December 30, 2023 kicks off a year-long 95th anniversary celebration of his discovery 1,120 feet beneath the summit of Lookout Mountain.
