Location: Ruby Falls is located on Lookout Mountain’s Scenic Highway in Chattanooga, TN. We are conveniently located near interstates 24, 75 and 59 and only minutes from downtown Chattanooga.

The Ruby Falls Tour
How often are tours sent?: Tours to Ruby Falls are sent every 10-15 minutes based on demand.
Length of Tour: The tour to Ruby Falls lasts on average 1 hr 10-15 minutes.
Walking Distance: The Ruby Falls tour is approximately 4/5 of a mile.
Are there stairs, major hills/slopes?: The Ruby Falls tour is on a paved level pathway with only a couple of gradual slopes. There are just a few steps on the pathway each paired in sets of 4-5 with handrails provided.
Shoes:Comfortable shoes are suggested the total walk is a little under a mile and the pathways although paved are uneven in some places. Heels, sandals or backless shoes are not suggested. What to wear:The temperature in the cave is around 60 degrees year round but with the high humidity it feels more like 70 degrees so bundling up is not necessary. Accessibility: The Ruby Falls entrance building is handicap accessible; regretfully the cave tour is not accessible due to narrow passages, two way traffic, and steps.
Child Carriers/Strollers: Due to some narrow passages, strollers are not permitted on the cave tour.
For infants we recommend front carriers.
Pets: Due to health guidelines pets are not allowed on the Ruby Falls tour. The are 4 new, shaded, fenced kennel areas available at no charge. Special considerations are taken for service animals.
Cameras/Video Recorders: Both Cameras and Video Recorders are allowed on the Ruby Falls tour. Along the way you will have many excellent opportunities to record the many unusual wonders. Facilities/Services
Food Services and Gifts: Coffee Shop- Offers a variety of deli style sandwiches, wraps, personal pizzas, and hot dogs. Booth style dining available (open year round)
Fun Forest Grill: Short order style grill that offers favorites like, hamburgers, chicken strips, and philly-cheese steaks, served with fries. Dine on our covered deck with a scenic view of the Tennessee River Valley (closed during winter months)
Gift Shops: Recognized as one of the areas best, Ruby Falls offers 2 large gift shops that specialize in regional gifts, unusual trinkets and specialty items available at extraordinary values.
Interactive Fun
Lookout Mountain Tower: Enjoy an unobstructed, panoramic view of the Tennessee River Valley from the top of this 70+ foot tower. Use the viewers perched on the tower for a closer view or simply take in the gorgeous scenery with your own two eyes.
Fun Forest Playground: This interactive playground offers slides, monkey bars, games, and plenty of places to run, jump, stomp and play.
Gem Stone Panning: This is an excellent opportunity for you or your children to take part in an interactive geology experiment. Sift through dirt to find semi-precious stones and use the detailed chart to identify your findings.
Sharp Shooters Photos: The perfect way to document your trip to Ruby Falls. This specialized service will take your picture at the beginning of your tour and will have it available in a collectable folder at your tours end. As you gaze at this massive wonder there is a feeling of total tranquility. You are overcome with joy and excitement as music fills this large domed room and the colorful light show begins. This massive stream of falling water begins changing seamlessly to deep colors of purple, red, and blue right before your eyes;
