- What is Ruby Falls?
Ruby Falls is a guided cave tour back to see a 145 foot underground
waterfall. The tour guide will point out several different rock
formations and geological wonders throughout the tour.
Back to question list
- Do you allow pets?
Due to health guidelines, pets are not allowed on the Ruby Falls tour.
There are 4 shaded, fenced kennel areas available at no charge on a
first come first serve basis. Special considerations are taken for
service animals. In addition, for small animals or animals which may try
and escape, we recommend bringing a pet crate or carrier for use in our
kennels.
Back to question list
- Is parking available for my RV, Trailer, Motorcoach, Semi, or similar
vehicle?
We do have limited parking available for large vehicles. Upon arrival a
parking lot attendant will direct you to the appropriate place to park.
Because these spaces are limited, we recommend arriving before 10am or
after 4pm.
Back to question list
- What happens if it rains the day I plan to visit Ruby Falls?
No problem! Due to its location, weather is not a factor at Ruby Falls.
In fact, rain actually enhances the tour by increasing the volume of
water in the cave.
Back to question list
- When is the best time to visit Ruby Falls?
Although the wait time is usually minimal for the Ruby Falls tour,
mornings and late afternoons tend to be less crowded.

Back to question list

Back to question list
- What should I wear on the tour?
The temperature in the cave is around 60 degrees year round, but with
the humidity in the cave it feels more like 70 degrees. Comfortable

pathways, although paved, are uneven in some places. Heels, sandals, or
backless shoes are not suggested.
Back to question list

The Ruby Falls entrance building is handicap accessible. Due to the natural, narrow cave passages; two-way traffic; and steps, the cave tour is not wheelchair accessible.
Back to question list

If you have special tour needs, please email info1@rubyfalls.com to discuss potential accommodations and allow time for arrangements to be made prior to your visit. For example, guests with hearing disabilities may request a printed copy of the tour.
Back to question list
- Is the tour stroller accessible?
Due to narrow passages and steps, strollers are not permitted on the
cave tour. For infants and small children, we recommend either front or
back carriers; however we do not rent these on-site. Please keep in mind
there are places with low ceilings in the cave.
Back to question list
